Porters Lodge
Originally built on the 1540s, the Porter's Lodge a historic holiday cottage, was used by the Porter whose duties included monitoring all those who used the gate. The ancient "squint hole", now glazed for the comfort of our guests, can still be seen by the fireplace. |

Winding stairs (not for the infirm) lead to the bedroom with four poster bed, and views over the garden and surrounding countryside.
The view North from the bedroom window draws the eye over the rolling fields towards the village of Loddon in the near distance. The king size bed is made up with a duvet and towels are provided. |

| A door from the kitchen leads to a private garden where there are garden chairs and table, which is the ideal place for a barbecue on a summer's evening. |
